Founded in 1996 as part of the Marsans Group, Air Comet now flies twice daily from London Gatwick to Madrid, connecting with a wide network of services to destinations in South America including Lima, Bogota, San Jose, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Quito, Guayaquil, Santo Domingo and Havana.
It flies a fleet of Airbus A320s for short-haul services, and A310s, A330s and A340s for long-haul.
In 2007 the airline switched to a new corporate image and brand, and new routes are planned for 2008/9, including Brazil-Fortaleza, continuing the airline”s expansion.
