Air China will introduce a new direct route linking Beijing and Venice this summer.
The Chinese carrier, which is a Star Alliance member, will operate four weekly flights between Beijing and Venice Marco Polo Airport from 2 July, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The new route marks the second direct connection between Venice and China following the launch of China Eastern Airlines’ Shanghai Pudong-Venice service in 2024.
Enrico Marchi, chairman of Italian airport operator SAVE Group, said the new route “creates a new bridge between Italy and China” and “forms part of our commitment to the continuous expansion of Marco Polo Airport’s long-haul flight network”.
