Air China has introduced its new Airbus A350-900 aircraft on its route between Heathrow and Beijing, which has allowed the carrier to increase the service’s frequency to three flights a day.
The airline’s A350 has 312 seats in total – 32 in Business class, 24 in Premium Economy and 256 in Economy. Air China says the new cabin design features more space for window-seat passengers.
Business class seats are arranged in a reverse herringbone configuration to provide more space for passengers entering and exiting their seat.
Meanwhile, Premium Economy offers increased legroom, a greater recline and four-way headrest. Passengers are also entitled to exclusive check-in, priority boarding and priority tags on baggage.
Jingjie Li, general manager of Air China in the UK, commented: “We are very excited to introduce the new Airbus A350 model to our UK to China fleet. Not only does the introduction of this new aircraft give us the opportunity to increase our daily flights between London and Beijing to triple daily, but also offer our passengers a new and improved in-flight experience, maximising their comfort and enjoyment of flying with Air China. We are always looking for ways to improve this very important flight route and we are looking forward to seeing how our passengers will benefit from the new aircrafts.”
