Launch ceremony for the Account
Business travel payment provider AirPlus International and Air China have partnered to create an account which gives corporate clients and TMCs a more convenient payment option on the carrier”s national and international flights.
Air China AirPlus Company Account will be released in July, prior to the Olympic Games.
TMCs gain a convenient central payment tool for air travel which saves time and provides access to data ” travel expense reports and electronic invoicing ” so that clients can receive comprehensive analysis of expenses.
The joint solution is accepted as a form of payment on the airline”s website as well as at TMCs and other reservations outlets.
Air China”s corporate clients will also gain access to the AirPlus Information Manager, which helps companies recognise cost cutting opportunities and optimise and control their business travel costs more effectively.
”The [account] empowers our corporate customers by providing them with a convenient payment system and access to the most comprehensive travel reporting in the industry,” said Air China senior vice president Zhang Lan.
”The joint payment solution is another example of how Air China is introducing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our corporate customers.”
Companies can also track whether their tickets have been used, thereby speeding up the refund process and cutting down on the volume of unused tickets.
”AirPlus strives to give our customers the key to business travel management efficiency and provide them with superior data quality,” said AirPlus International Ltd managing director Yael Klein.
”We stand ahead of our competitors in this development and look forward to working with our newest airline partner.”
