Spanish hotel group VP Hoteles has opened its new flagship property, the five-star VP Plaza Espana Design.
Located on the Plaza Espana in the centre of Madrid, the 214-room property features ten room categories spread over 17 floors. Guest room features include private terraces, walk-in closets and private gyms.
As with other VP hotels, the property features interior vertical gardens stretching across all 17 floors. In the centre of the hotel sits a 25m waterfall sculpture created by Catalan artist Pere Gifre, which ‘tumbles’ from the glass bottom of the 12th-floor outdoor swimming pool to the ground floor.
Also on the 12th floor is the panoramic Gingko Sky Bar, which features a fully soundproofed nightclub.
The Botania restaurant, located on the ground floor of the hotel, features a patio area and serves Asian fusion cuisine.
Other facilities available include a 24-hour gym, spa and Biloba Wellness Centre, ground floor lobby bar, buffet restaurant, underground parking, business centre and more than 1,400sqm of meeting space with natural light.
VP Plaza Espana Design is the fifth property in the VP Hoteles portfolio, joining the VP Jardin Metropolitano, VP Jardin de Recoletas, VP el Madrono and VP Jardin de Tres Cantos, all of which are in Madrid.
