Mandarin Oriental”s flagship property in Hong Kong now has the latest in in-room entertainment installed throughout the hotel. Having re-opened its doors in September after a nine month renovation, the property now features a new HDVOD (High Definition Video-on-Demand) system in every room.
The high-definition television is unique, however, as it also contains an integrated IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) that includes Personal Video Recording, home theatre system and iPod menus. The technology means you can record favourite programmes, choose from 10,000 radio stations worldwide and several thousand internet video streams.
All rooms are also fitted with Wi-Fi internet connection, Ipod docking stations, two-way phones and business kits.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group CIO/CTO Nick Price said: ”All of our properties are special for their luxurious amenities and services. Our Hong Kong property, however, is our flagship and has to serve as the epitome of what Mandarin Oriental is all about. While our standards across the brand are without par, with the Hong Kong property undergoing an extensive renovation, we had the opportunity to introduce new technologies and services that would make this property truly the most advance in the world for years to come.”
