Marriott Hotels has opened a new property in Accra, Ghana, marking its first venture in West Africa.
Owned by African Hospitality Limited, the 208-room hotel is located opposite Kotoka International airport, a few kilometres from the city’s central business district.
The hotel will feature three dining venues, 800sqm of meeting space, a swimming pool and a fitness centre.
Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director for Middle East and Africa at Marriott International, said: “Accra is the heartbeat of Ghana, a dynamic city bustling with energy. A commercial, manufacturing and communications centre with great shopping and excellent nightlife, it makes an interesting travel destination both for business and for leisure.”
