Ten hotels in Austria, Germany and
Italy will reopen under the Campanile and Kyriad brands, the Louvre Hotels
Group has announced.
The group, a subsidiary of Jin
Jiang International, has taken over the two- and three-star hotels that were previously
owned by the Chinese hotel group Plateno and operated under the 7 Days Premium
banner.
The hotels, which range in size
from 95 to 200 rooms, will be refurbished by the Louvre Hotels Group team. Properties
in Leipzig, Munich, Berlin, Venice, and Vienna will become Campanile properties
while a 95-bedroom hotel in Vienna becomes a Kyriad.
Pierre
Frédéric Roulot, CEO of Louvre Hotels Group, said: “This development enables us
to uphold and expand our brands across Europe, despite a difficult global
context, while establishing our leadership in the European hotel industry. It
is a great opportunity for our strategic brands, such as Campanile which we are
positioning in the major European cities and transport hubs.”
Andreas
Tscherning, COO international at Louvre Hotels Group, added: “With this
acquisition, we are taking over hotels in strategic locations such as Leipzig,
Munich, and Vienna, thus further expanding our European network to best meet
the expectations of both our business and leisure customers.”
Louvre Hotels Group operates 180
hotels in Europe ranging from one to five stars, including Hôtels &
Préférence, Royal Tulip, Golden Tulip, Campanile, Kyriad Tulip Inn, and
Première Classe.
