Hyatt Hotels has reduced the qualifications needed to achieve elite status for World of Hyatt loyalty members by 50 per cent for the 2021 calendar year, the company has announced.
For the Discoverist tier, guests need to stay five qualifying nights or earn 12,500 base points. For the Explorist tier, the new levels are 15 qualifying nights or 25,000 earned base points. The highest tier, Globalist, requires 30 qualifying nights or 50,000 earned base points.
The reduced criteria do not apply to status qualifications for Milestone Rewards and Lifetime Globalist programmes, nor do they affect available points awarded for hosting eligible meetings at Hyatt properties.
The announcement comes two months after Hyatt extended the expiration of its World of Hyatt programme points and benefits.
