The somewhat long-windedly named Hotel & Catering International Management Association is to gain a new and catchier name ” the Institute of Hospitality. The new name was announced at the general meeting on 16 January after proxy voting and general meeting votes amounted to 79% in favour of the change.
A formal request will now be made to the Department of Trade and Industry for its approval. If approved the formal submission to the Charity Commissioners will be made for a change to the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
