KLM plans to install Starlink high-speed wifi on its intercontinental flights, with a phased rollout beginning in mid-2027.
The service will be available in all cabin classes and will be free for members of the carrier’s Flying Blue loyalty programme. KLM said it would allow passengers “to stay connected even high above the ocean”.
The move follows the introduction of Starlink wifi on KLM’s European flights at the beginning of this year.
KLM’s sister carrier Air France has also signed up for Starlink wifi, alongside IAG, Lufthansa Group, SAS, Singapore Airlines and Emirates. Italian high-speed rail operator Italo, meanwhile, plans to roll out Starlink wifi from mid-2026.
