The Arora Group has announced the dual-branded Crowne Plaza London – Heathrow Terminal 4 and Holiday Inn Express London – Heathrow Terminal 4 is set to open this October.
The linked properties will offer a combined 761 guest rooms, with Arora saying it represents one of the largest hotel openings in the UK this year.
The properties are located within a three-minute walk to the terminal building and will be the largest hotel complex directly connected to an airport terminal in the UK.
The Crowne Plaza will feature 304 bedrooms, as well as five meeting rooms, a fitness centre, executive lounge and three food and beverage outlets. In addition, the hotel will offer dedicated quiet zones in public spaces and the Sleep Advantage Programme, which includes premium bedding, guaranteed wake-up calls and access to executive lounges.
Meanwhile, the Holiday Inn Express next door will offer 457 guest rooms, the latest technology, an Express Bar and Cafe and the brand’s new, larger beds.
There will be more than 100 guest parking spaces available for the hotels.
The properties will operate under a franchise agreement with IHG and will be managed by Arora Hotels, which operates several hotels at Heathrow airport.
Andrew Brown has been named as the general manager for both properties. He previously held roles with Macdonald Hotels, Q Hotels, De Vere Group and Trust House Forte Group.
Kaushal Niraula, group strategy director at the Arora Group, said: “We are delighted to be nearing completion on this fantastic project. Constructing hotels on such a scale in such close proximity to Europe’s busiest airport was a challenge, but we have a very experienced team and we are hugely proud of the achievement. The two new Terminal 4 hotels will be superbly positioned to cater to the leisure and business travel market.”
