De Vere Wokefield Estate near Reading has unveiled the result of a £20 million refurbishment.
The project included a complete restoration of its Mansion House and a refresh of all meeting spaces to bring them in line with De Vere’s Smart Space meetings concept. The refurbishment is part of a wider multi-million investment in the group’s portfolio.
The estate offers a collection of meeting and event spaces, catering for both small meetings of ten delegates and large events of up to 500 guests.
The historic Mansion House offers a number of newly refurbished meeting and event spaces, including the Lincoln Suite – an old chapel – the Old Lounge, Mortimer and the Maple Suite, the largest space that offers an extensive balcony overlooking the grounds and lake.
On-site conference centre Wokefield Place offers 51 meeting spaces, including the Wokefield Suite with room for up to 400 delegates. It also provides a number of break-out areas including the Avenue, Burr & Co coffee shop and the Courtyard. All spaces are equipped with complimentary wifi up to 100m from the venue and a maximum bandwidth of 1GB.
The Smart Spaces concept features dedicated technical support, live availability booking and nutritionally-balanced menus.
