The new Derby London City hotel in the UK capital’s financial district is set to open in early 2026.
The redeveloped property located on Great Tower Street close to the Tower of London will be part of Hilton’s Curio Collection. It will feature 234 rooms, including 15 suites, when it debuts in February.
Facilities will include Rycrofte’s restaurant, which will focus on reinventing classic British dishes, plus a range of private dining and meeting spaces for up to 20 delegates. There will also be a 24-hour gym and a regular programme of “curated” experiences based around local artists and artisans.
The Derby London City will be owned and operated by Dominus Hospitality, which already has properties in London, Oxford and Bath operating under major hotel brands. The building was formerly occupied by the Royal Bank of Scotland before being acquired by Dominus in 2023.
Matt Williams, director of hotels at Dominus, said its new hotel in London was “an exciting new chapter” for the company.
“It represents our ambitious growth strategy and our commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences for our guests,” he said.
“Our vision was to create a destination that not only honours the City’s rich heritage but also reflects the energy and elegance of modern London. From its design to its service, The Derby London City is a celebration of craftsmanship, character and connection.”
