Frankfurt: Lufthansa is rolling out new self-service check-in terminals at various European airports.
The new terminals, which are smaller and lighter than those currently in use, are also on wheels, enabling them to be moved to different locations within the terminal as required. They are also be fitted with radio frequency identification scanners that can read passports and credit cards, as well as having the ability to scan fingerprints.
Lufthansa is expecting to take delivery of more than 300 of the terminals this year.
