A NEW PRODUCT designed to simplify the often complex task of verifying travel documentation at check-in is being launched by the Star Alliance.
Auto Doc Check, the development of which involved experts from 11 of the alliance's member carriers, is to be implemented initially by Singapore Airlines, with others expected to follow.
Of particular use in conjunction with itineraries that cover many countries, it takes the guesswork out of the decision, thus eliminating the risk of a traveller being denied entry because of the lack of a visa or invalid documentation.
Passengers checking-in via the internet or at self-service units can use the same service.
