Travel technology specialist, Zolv (www.zolv.com), is to unveil an innovative new cloud-based web travel platform at this year’s World Travel Market designed to increase sales conversions and reduce IT infrastructure costs by half.
On show at Stand TT170, the Zolv Web Travel Platform is a first-of-its-kind platform for travel websites to be hosted in the cloud and is set to unlock the benefits of cloud computing for the travel industry. As a fast-moving industry with peak seasons, the competitive online travel sector is often challenged by huge peaks in web traffic.
Currently, many online travel companies are reliant on the predictions of their sales and marketing departments to put in place the required infrastructure to support their sites. The result is that many travel sites experience difficulties meeting user demand during peak times, and as many more are spending far too much on infrastructure that they will never need.
Developed over the last 18 months, the Zolv Web Travel Platform is the brainchild of Zolv MD, Olly Wenn and his talented team of developers, who have delivered award-winning websites for companies such as Virgin Holidays, Teletext Holidays, Travel.co.uk and Shearings, that deliver sales of hundreds of millions of pounds per year. The platform can be configured to manage the most complicated online travel product and marketing domains, setting it apart from traditional CMS systems.
