Visa has partnered with Sabre that will see the travel technology firm use the payment specialist’s Cybersource payment management platform to bring an integrated reservation and fraud management solution to airlines, hotels, travel agencies and other organisations.
With Cybersource, Sabre says it will be able to provide a full suite of payment acceptance, fraud management and authentication services to its customers.
Fernando Souza, VP of global merchant travel solutions at Visa, said: “As the traveller journey becomes increasingly more digital, a fast, secure payment experience across channels and enabled on multiple devices is vital for success. Today, 26 of the world’s top 50 airlines globally already rely on Cybersource solutions for payment management and we look forward to working with Sabre to expand digital payment acceptance and more efficiently protect their travel organisations worldwide.”
One solution available through Cybersource is Decision Manager, which helps travel companies identify fraud more accurately and with less manual intervention.
Users can also utilise payment acceptance features, one of which connects approximately 120 acquirers in more than 190 countries and in over 50 currencies. They will also be able to deploy new and emerging digital payments options for their customers, including Visa Checkout.
The partnership will also see Sabre utilise Cardinal Commerce’s 3D Secure 2.0 platform for consumer authentication, which was recently acquired by Visa. The system adds another layer of security for payments with rules-based payer authentication capabilities.
Rodrigo Celis, VP of product management at Sabre, commented: “We are excited to integrate into the Cybersource platform and take advantage of Visa’s payment management capabilities for our industry partners. This collaboration will allow our industry partners to manage fraud more efficiently and process more forms of payment, ultimately creating a better purchasing experience for our customers worldwide.”
