VAIO today launches the TT-Series - the ultimate in mobile computing for business to ensure you feel like you're in the office even when you're out and about. Focusing on the key requirements of the travelling executive, the TT is totally equipped for business on the move.

The TT-Series combines an array of key features that set it apart from the crowd. Physically compact and measuring just 23.5mm thick at its slimmest point, it is eminently portable but also equipped to keep you completely in touch with your business, meaning you won't be disadvantaged being out of the office.

Mobile workers or those travelling for business are likely to be working for long periods of time without access to a power socket, so they are going to need a laptop as efficient as possible when it comes to battery life. The TT uses an Ultra Low Voltage Intel® Core^TM 2 Duo Processor, combined with an ambient light sensor that varies the screen illumination dynamically, resulting in a battery life of up to 8 hours. And with the recognition that when travelling, executives rarely get the opportunity to fully recharge their laptop, the TT battery comes with a quick charge function that provides 50% of its battery life from just over one hour of charging.

Communication is essential in business and email is currently the most vital tool for this. This becomes difficult when you are on the move, with opportunties to access the internet often restricted to hot spots. The VAIO TT allows you to stay connected with embedded mobile broadband as standard across the range. This high-speed communication technology utilises 3G mobile phone networks to deliver broadband speeds of up to 7.2 mbps on the move, so you can access your emails wherever you are.

Although you're not in the office it doesn't mean you expect to be any less productive. The VAIO TT aids productivity with a LED backlit, true widescreen display that provides clearer, brighter images and more room on your desktop due to the 16:9 ratio. And with up to 4GB RAM, you won't be slowed down by your PC.

Data security on the road is paramount, and the VAIO TT-Series provides a combination of features to ensure you have complete peace of mind. Physical data protection is provided by VAIO Hard Disk Protection, which detects sudden movement and parks the drive heads almost instantaneously. Fingerprint biometrics act as the gatekeeper to the system, while Trusted^TM Platform Module (TPM) hardware encrypts data and passwords, preventing any unauthorised access.

The TT is not just secure in terms of its feature set. Carbon fibre provides the base for the TT's robust chassis, meaning it can withstand life on the road, and the screen features a toughened surface that is durable and scratch resistant.
