American Express Business Travel has created a new mobile solution to help travellers while on the move.
MobileXtend provides information, direct to a mobile phone, based on a traveller's destination, such as maps, dining options, currency conversions, and hotels.
Travellers can also access their travel itineraries, with new reservation details updated automatically after new bookings.
Lisa Durocher, senior vice president, American Express Business Travel, said: "Both business travelers and the companies that keep them on the road recognize the importance of mobile capabilities and mobile's potential to provide better communication, control and service.
"Travelers expect to have access to their travel details while on-trip. At the same time, corporations are looking for a comprehensive solution."
The tool is aimed at smartphone users, but will also work with any mobile phone that can receive SMS text messages.
