TMC network GlobalStar Travel Management has signed a deal with travel tech firm AirGateway to provide its members access to NDC-based airfares as well as content from low-cost carriers.
The partnership with Berlin-based AirGateway, which specialises in aggregating NDC content, will give GlobalStar members access to NDC fares from around 30 airlines as well as low-cost and consolidated content via the company’s BookingPad agent platform.
UK-based GlobalStar has more than 50 members with 2,400 offices globally – including Travel Counsellors (UK), TravelDesk (Italy), VoyagExpert (France), Nomago Travel (Slovenia), Kuoni Business Travel (Switzerland), Meridian Tours (Turkey), e-Business Travel (Netherlands), In Out Travel (Spain) – and was ranked as Europe’s fourth largest TMC network in the list of Europe’s Leading TMCs 2023.
Julian Russell, executive director, IT and supplier relations at GlobalStar said the partnership “is a positive step towards providing our partner network with choice when deciding how they book and service NDC content… [and allows them to] by-pass additional surcharges”.
AirGateway recently forged a similar deal with TMC consortium Focus Travel Partnership, announced last month, as well as a deal to provide NDC content to members of the Advantage Travel Partnership.
