[Updated to include appointment of advisory board]
Meetings and events platform Wizme has added the ability to search venues according to their accredited hygiene standards.
Wizme is working with certification firm Global Secure Accreditation (GSA) to enable planners to filter and search based on the hygiene security information venues have provided, supported by external accreditation where available.
Bob Quick, executive director of GSA, said, “Wizme’s approach puts traveller health and wellbeing at the heart of their offering, and as we all look towards a return to travel this will undoubtedly be an important factor for companies and their travellers when making decisions”.
Blue Cube Travel recently became the first TMC to implement the Wizme platfrom.
Wizme has also appointed a new advisory board to help guide
the evolution of its products. The board is headed by Sandy Moring and includes
Carol Fergus, David Clare, Helen Hodgkinson, Jan T Jacobsen, Jason Purcell, Jo‐Anne
Lloyd, Leigh Cowlishaw, Lisa Boissel, Mariska Kesteloo, Raj Shah, Sam Cande,
Simone Buckley and Sumit Gupta.
Fergus said, “Our advice and insights will be used to help
further innovation, and it is very important to me to support new ventures and
technology, especially Wizme as it will aid the recovery of our industry.
Between us, we can establish this technology as the force to be reckoned with
in the meetings and groups industry”.
Wizme founder Nour Mouakke said, “It’s a privilege to have these industry
leaders helping to put Wizme on the map. Their insight, suggestions and
challenges are providing fresh impetus and inspiration to the Wizme team.”
