Blue Cube Travel has become the first travel management company to adopt the Wizme meetings and event platform.
Wizme, a former entrant on BTN Europe’s Hotlist, offers venue-finding, booking and management for both traditional and unusual venues in a platform that brings together planners, venues and intermediaries.
Bex Deadman, Blue Cube’s managing director, told BTN Europe: “What we love about Wizme is that it is a platform that still fundamentally revolves around people, to try and simplify and speed up the heavy administrative processes. As an industry we spend a lot of time writing and reading exquisite proposals with limited info on the event itself, because at initial enquiry it is often just an idea stifled by budget.
“What the venue needs at this time is different to what the client needs. Wizme aims to rewrite this relationship, allowing venues to respond quickly to initial enquiries and then put the time in when they know they’ve been shortlisted and honestly therefore when it counts.”
Nour Mouakke, CEO and founder of Wizme said: “Wizme is ideal to help Blue Cube, their clients and venue partners kickstart their businesses during these challenging times. This is especially true when needing to generate extra revenue streams while having a lack of resources.”
Deadman said that she is talking to Wizme about adding search functionality for independent accreditation and security features.
“It’s this accountability that will help get us moving again. As an industry we have to convince our clients, who in turn need to convince their travellers, that it really is safe to travel when we decide it is and we need to be able to qualify those decisions,” she said.
“None of us can predict when it will start again. We’re working on proposals for clients now - there is certainly a desire to get together - but the focus is less about when and more about what, why and how, as that’s the bit within our control.”
Blue Cube won the 2020 Business Travel Award for Best Travel Management Company (Less than £50m UK annual sales) and ranked 32nd in the leading TMCs in 2020.
