Park Plaza London Riverbank has bolstered its meetings and events offering with a new food and beverage concept focused on ‘Brain Food’.
The menu, which is part of the hotel’s Science of Meetings campaign, provides delegates with foods designed to keep the mind focused and productive. Options include goat’s curd, pickled cucumber jelly roulade with avocado, organic goji berries, and raspberry spheres with flax seed crumble. With hydration being a key to keeping the brain active, the menu also includes sour cherry immunity boosters, manuka honey organic shots and coconut cleansers with coconut caviar.
The AIM Gold-accredited property re-launched last year following an extensive redevelopment project that saw a further six storeys and 100 bedrooms added to the building. It offers 24 meeting and event spaces, including the large Ballroom, which can host up to 650 delegates theatre style and features a service lift big enough to accommodate vehicles for car launches and showcases. Meanwhile, the Plaza Suite can hold up to 550 people or can be split into ten smaller syndicate rooms. Both can be accessed via a separate entrance to the hotel and feature their own cloakrooms and bars for drinks receptions.
The recently added City Suite (pictured below) holds up to 350 and can be broken down into three smaller rooms with sound-proof partitions. The hotel’s Executive Lounge on the 12th floor can also be hired for events and features a boardroom (pictured above) and balcony with views over the Thames and Parliament.
Rob Flinter, general manager of the Park Plaza London Riverbank, who was recently awarded a Master Innholder accolade, commented: “We have worked hard to create a package that not only sets us apart in the market, but more importantly provides an extra element to the hotel’s meetings, events and conferences offering that is both exciting and useful for delegates that use the hotel’s facilities. Our refurbishment last year really helped set us apart, and now our Brain Food menu adds to the appeal of choosing the hotel for business requirements.”
Event planners and travel managers who book a meetings and events package at the hotel before the end of September 2018 will be entered into a prize draw to have their delegates’ doodles analysed by graphologist Tracy Trussell. She will use her insight into personalities and behaviour to help delegates understand what their mid-meeting scribbles say about them.
