Meetings, events and hospitality technology provider Cvent
has launched a new virtual event solution, the Cvent Engagement Hub, which it
said can power all event types, whether in-person, fully virtual, or hybrid.
Built to work with Cvent’s suite of event marketing and
management solutions, the new platform includes fully integrated,
enterprise-class webcasting technology to help organisers deliver content to
any device anywhere in the world, according to the company.
Cvent said the technology allows organisers to leverage one
platform for each step of the virtual event lifecycle including promotion,
registration and an available native mobile app. Users can also gather attendee
and digital event data, including per attendee engagement scores, session and
web analytics and dynamic surveys. Sponsors and exhibitors can be provided with
virtual booths, video conferencing, sponsored sessions and the ability to
pre-schedule appointments, while planners can benefit from 24/7 support as well
as event-specific offerings for full project management, webcast and speaker
support and advanced video production.
The Cvent Engagement Hub will be used to power Cvent Connect
US on 25-26 August, as well as Cvent Connect Europe later this year.
Patrick Smith, chief marketing officer at Cvent, said: “As
the global pandemic took hold, virtual events were embraced as a way for
organisations to continue to engage their prospects and customers even when
they couldn’t meet in person, face to face. Many organisations quickly pivoted
to create a virtual event strategy but had to patch together disparate
technologies to run their events. This suboptimal approach meant low attendee
engagement, an inferior user experience and no way to measure the event’s true
business impact.”
