American Express Meetings & Events is launching a range of sustainable products to help clients measure and reduce the carbon footprint from their events.
The suite currently contains two components including the Sustainable Meetings Programme advisory, where an Amex team helps clients to develop an end-to-end sustainability strategy for meetings, such as setting measurable systems to assess the carbon impact of all events.
The second element is the Carbon Neutral Events platform, which helps organisations to reduce, measure and offset emissions from meetings and events by using an event carbon calculator to work out the amount of offsetting required for each event to become carbon neutral.

Amex Global Business Travel has also formed an alliance with Shell Aviation to help increase the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) as well as partnering with meeting technology platform Cvent to embed corporate responsibility objectives within hotel sourcing processes.
