Business Travel News Europe has today published its annual
leading TMC ranking, whose appearance is as eagerly awaited as ever.
This year’s rankings cover much more of Europe - the UK national listing
is still there but is now joined by national lists for France and Germany. The new
rankings also feature separate lists for the multinational TMCs and the TMC
networks that have grown ever bigger over time.
It comes as no surprise that American Express GBT sits at
the top of the multinational charts thanks to its takeover of HRG but also its
strong presence in other markets.
“The leading TMCs has changed much since its inception way
back in 1997 – the magazine had a different title, they were not called TMCs,
there were 100 of them and it was only about the UK,” said the report’s editor Mark
Frary. “It may seem ironic that following a year when the level of business
travel is the smallest it has been for decades that the leading TMCs is bigger
than ever.”
“The Leading TMCs has always been seen as an industry bible
for the UK – now we hope it will become the same for Europe,” said Frary.
