Industry expansion in Australia has prompted the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) Asia Pacific to diverge.
It will become two new autonomous organisations: ACTE Australasia and ACTE Asia.
Membership has grown, as has the participation in educational events and forums, said Ron di Leo, ACTE’s executive director.
“ACTE’s global vision is to give ACTE Australasia and ACTE Asia more autonomy and a deeper regional perspective, while remaining a part of the global ACTE community,” he said.
“The new distinction between these regions gives ACTE members in each area the opportunity to drive a more frequent and substantive local agenda.”
ACTE Australia’s primary focus will be on Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, while ACTE Asia will serve business travel buyers and sellers in Singapore, China, India, Japan and the rest of South East Asia.
The new regions will be officially launched in December, at the Sydney ACTE Executive Forum.
