Travel management company Navan has launched a “deepened” integration with Deutsche Bahn (DB) to improve access to the German rail operator’s corporate loyalty programme.
In a statement, Navan said the initiative was designed to support DB’s bahn.business corporate loyalty programme and would allow the TMC’s customers to use their bahn.business benefits directly within Navan’s platform rather than doing this manually.
The TMC added that travel managers could now load their company’s DB customer details, known as the BMIS number, directly into the Navan platform. This will allow the company automatic access to corporate fares, which can also be viewed and booked by their travellers, including the train operator’s Sparpreis Business and Flexpreis Business fares.
Navan added that the integration would also enable automated refunds rather than having to deal with standard cancellation vouchers.
The agreement also means that Navan customers will already be compliant with DB’s forthcoming requirement for the BMIS number to be used in all corporate bookings made via online partners from 2027.
Michael Riegel, chief customer officer at Navan, said: “This integration represents another strategic investment into the needs of our European customers and makes Navan one of the most comprehensive rail solutions for business travel in Europe.”
Navan has been upgrading its European rail content in recent years — moves have included adding content from Austrian national train operator ÖBB to its booking platforms and offering split-ticketing on UK domestic rail services to save money on train journeys.
