Eurostar has suspended the sale of London-Amsterdam (via Brussels) tickets through its website.
Previously Eurostar passengers would travel to Brussels Midi and switch to either high-speed Thalys or regular trains for the final sector to Amsterdam.
However, the launch of the new Fyra service last December led to the ending of the normal but slower Brussels-Amsterdam trains.
This development has caused ticketing problems for Eurostar, which confirms that it is not currently selling tickets to Amsterdam or any Dutch destination.
A Eurostar spokesperson said: “We are currently in discussion with both Thalys and Fyra regarding arrangements for travel between London, Amsterdam and beyond into the Netherlands. We hope to be able to offer an update on arrangements in the near future.
“In the interim, our advice to passengers is to book tickets for travel between London and the Netherlands via Rail Europe.”
