VLM Airlines will be introducing a greater range of options for South East travellers bound for The Netherlands when it commences flights from London City Airport to Eindhoven next month
The non-stop service will commence on 12th January 2009 and operate twice every weekday and once every Sunday, with flights at the beginning and end of every day timed to suit business and leisure travellers. The service to Eindhoven is the airline's fifth Dutch route and complements its frequent services to both Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Johan Vanneste, Managing Director of VLM Airlines, says: "The UK is a very important market for VLM Airlines and we are delighted to offer travellers from London and the surrounding area direct access to Eindhoven." He adds: "Our regular services to Amsterdam and Rotterdam are already very popular with London business travellers, and we expect our new route to Eindhoven will become well established within a short period of time."
The service offers a perfect day-return option for business passengers travelling to Eindhoven, allowing them to have a complete working day and save on hotel costs.
Joost Meijs, CEO of Eindhoven Airport comments: "We are very pleased to see that VLM Airlines will start operating the London City - Eindhoven route. Both London City Airport and Eindhoven Airport are regularly used by a great deal of business passengers and the route fits in perfectly within the Brainport thought, which promotes the connection of business destinations. We are convinced VLM Airlines will enable us to support the business community further in the future. "
Flights from London City depart at 8.30am arriving at 10.45am, and 6.20pm arriving at 8.35pm. Return flights depart from Eindhoven at 7.45am every weekday arriving at 8am and at 5.35pm every weekday and Sundays arriving at 5.50pm. All times are local.
