Southampton airport will stop offering flights to Paris’ main international airport this weekend.
Flybe, the only airline to offer the route, will stop on Sunday (October 31).
From November 1, Flybe will start flights from Southampton to Paris’ secondary airport Paris Orly, which is closer to the centre of the city but has fewer international connections.
A Flybe spokesperson said the airline plans to re-instate its Charles de Gaulle service from Southampton “in the medium term”.
Air France, meanwhile, will cease flights between Southampton and Paris altogether on Sunday, handing over the route to Flybe as part of a major codesharing deal that starts this weekend.
It will see Air France place its AF code on a number of routes between regional airports in the UK and France, such as Southampton-Paris, Birmingham-Avignon and London Gatwick-Bergerac.
Flybe will also place its BE code on a number of Air France operated routes between Paris CDG and European destinations including Budapest, Geneva, Istanbul, Lyon, Madrid, Munich, Sofia and Vienna.
This weekend, Flybe will also be moving terminals at Paris Charles de Gaulle to make passengers' connections with Air France flights easier.
Flybe currently operates out of Terminal 1, but will move to Terminal 2, from where Air France operates, on Sunday.
