Singapore Airlines is planning to increase frequencies on its route between London Gatwick and Singapore Changi airports this summer.
The Asian carrier currently operates daily services on the Gatwick-Singapore route but will increase frequency to 10 times per week from 31 March to 2 July, with additional services on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
It will then go double-daily from 3 July to 29 August, before returning to 10 weekly services from 1 September to 24 October.
The move comes as airlines continue to add non-stop capacity between Europe and Asia due to airspace restrictions in the Middle East caused by the ongoing Iran conflict. Singapore Airlines has already been operating extra services between London Heathrow and Singapore this month.
Mohamed Rafi Mar, Singapore Airlines’ UK and Ireland general manager, added: “Our London Gatwick service continues to prove popular, and we are pleased to add even more flights in the coming months.”
