Ryanair has announced it will open a new base at Prague airport from October 30 as it looks to expand its business travel offering.
At a cost of $200 million the airline will operate two aircraft and launch two new routes to Milan and Rome – five in total including Brussels (9 weekly), Dublin (daily) and London ( 2 daily).
Ryanair said the base will deliver 625,000 passengers a year and support 470 jobs at the airport.
Ryanair chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, said: “This growth is an integral part of our continued expansion plans for both the Czech Republic and Eastern Europe, as we connect Prague with Europe’s key centres of business with high frequency business-friendly services.”
