Ryanair attracted an extra one million passengers in December compared to the same period in 2013.
The number of passengers flying with the Irish airline rose 20 per cent to 6.2 million last month, with its load factor jumping 7 per cent to 88 per cent.
Ryanair’s chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs said its strong December figures are a result of lower fares, earlier bookings and the roll out of its new Business Plus service.
In November, Ryanair confirmed it received shareholder approval for the purchase of 200 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
