Plans to increase capacity
Air France-owned Cityjet has reported an increase in passengers in the last quarter of 2009.
Flights from its London City hub to Antwerp and Luxembourg grew by 10% in December, while Scottish routes saw an overall increase of 23% on Q3 2008.
CityJet's strongest route was London City-Amsterdam, flown by almost 250,000 passengers last year.
The airline will increase capacity on this route for the winter 2010 schedule, as well as on flights to Dublin, Edinburgh and Paris (Orly).
Geoffrey O'Byrne White, CityJet ceo, said: "This is a remarkable turn around considering figures taken from the first 9 months of 2009 when the full force of the economic downturn hit the business travel industry.
"CityJet is set to go from strength to strength in 2010."
CityJet has also launched its first ever January sale. It will run until January 31, with travel from January 25 to October 31.
