A Henan Airlines plane has crashed in north east China, killing 43 people.
The Embraer ERJ-190 was approaching to land at the newly opened airport at Yichun, a small city in Heilongjiang province, en route from the province's capital Harbin.
According to Reuters, the crew of the plane had not reported any problems before the attempted landing.
There were 91 passengers on board, plus five crew members.
Technicians from Embraer are understood to have flown to China to investigate the crash.
Previously known as Kunpeng Airlines,regional carrier Henan Airlines is controlled by Shenzen Airlines, part-owned by Air China.
