Easyjet confirmed 82 flights have been cancelled, including 32 arriving and departing fom the UK.
Ryanair condemned the “selfish” strikes and urged passengers to sign its Keep Europe’s Skies Open petition which calls on the European Commission and European Parliament to “protect Europe from repeated blackmail and disruption” by unions.
British Airways didn’t disclose how many flights it had cancelled but warned that delays to some destinations were likely.
All airlines affected have advised passengers to check the status of their flight before they arrive at the airport.
