New ceo at Malév
Malév, the Hungarian national carrier, has appointed a new ceo Péter Leonov.
Mr Leonov, who took over last Friday (September 14), is also vice-chairman of the airline's board of directors.
He takes over from British national Lloyd Paxton, 64, who resigned earlier this year.
Mr Leonov is an expert in the sphere of engineering science and has nearly ten years' experience in senior management with international corporations.
White new MD at Bath Travel
Adam White has been appointed the new managing director of the business travel division of the UK independent agency the Bath Travel Group.
Mr White, who has been working for Bath in a consultancy role, takes over his new role next month.
He has more than 27 years' experience in the travel industry, working for 17 years with Thomas Cook.
More recently, he worked for ten years with My Travel and most recently as managing director of the group's business travel operation, BTM.
Mr White was also deputy chairman of the UK Guild of Travel Management Companies in 2004-2005 and chaired its technology working party from 2003-2005.
van Koppen promoted by KLM
Barbara van Koppen has been promoted by KLM to the role of legal counsel.
Mrs van Koppen, who has worked with the Dutch carrier since 1996, will combine her new post with her role as company secretary which she has held since 2005.
Melchior takes up new UK role
John Melchior has been appointed as the UK representative for ProCon Solution, a Danish technology company.
His appointment coincides with the launch of a new range of products by the company.
Mr Melchior, whose company JME Enterprises represents several travel related companies in Britain, is ProCon's first agent in the UK and Ireland.
