The national carrier of Oman will start flights to the Nepali capital in September
Kathmandu will be the 40th destination in the Oman Air network.
The middle eastern carrier will operate four flights a week to Kathmandu, leaving Muscat at 11.40am and arrive at Kathmandu at 5.05pm.
The flight from Kathmandu will leave at 6.05pm, arriving into Muscat at 8.45pm
The route will be operated using B737-700 aircraft, with a two-class configuration (economy and business).
Peter Hill, CEO of Oman Air, said: "Kathmandu is a much-awaited destination.
"In addition to the strong demand for flights from Nepalese nationals who work in Oman and further afield, we expect to see significant corporate and leisure traffic, which is important to the economic development of Nepal."
