Norwegian is continuing to expand its long-haul network with a new London Gatwick to Orlando service.
The once-weekly departure on a Saturday will start in April 2015, with a launch fare of £199.
Norwegian, which will also launch an Orlando to Copenhagen route next year, will take delivery of its eighth 787 Dreamliner next spring as it looks to boost capacity on existing routes.
”We´re happy to announce that we will offer Orlando as a new destination from London and Copenhagen,” said Norwegian CCO Thomas Ramdahl.
“Orlando is already a very popular destination being offered from Oslo and we are looking forward to giving even more passengers the chance to visit this great area of Florida.”
Norwegian has also announced it will increase the number of weekly departures on its Gatwick to New York and LA routes as well as its Oslo to LA and Stockholm to San Francisco services.
Earlier this month, the US Department of Transport (DOT) delayed its decision on Norwegian’s application for a foreign carrier permit to operate Europe – US services.
The DOT said it requires additional time to reach a decision on NAI’s application.
NAI will be able to continue to operate flights to the US under its temporary permit from the DOT.
