Singapore Airlines and Saudi Arabian Airlines have signed new deals with global distribution system (GDS) providers.
Amadeus and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed a full content agreement for the airline’s fares to be distributed via the global distribution system (GDS).
Under the five-year agreement, Amadeus users will have access to all of SIA’s flight schedules and fares that are available to travel agencies and “third party channels”.
The travel technology firm also announced that Kurban Travel, Lebanon’s largest travel agency, has moved its business to the Amadeus network.
Meanwhile, Travelport has renewed its partnership with Saudi Arabian Airlines with a multi-year content agreement.
The deal means users of the Galileo and Worldspan GDSs will have access to the middle eastern airline’s inventory of flights and fares.
The Saudi airline will also upgrade its participation level on the Galileo and World span systems so that Travelport users have real-time access to the inventory.
Saudi Arabia represents Travelport’s largest operations in the Middle East.
