Malaysia Airlines has resumed flights between Kuala Lumpur and Paris for the first time in nearly a decade.
The Asian carrier, which announced plans to restart the route in September, operated its first flight since early 2016 to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on Saturday (22 March).
During its first week of service, Malaysia Airlines will operate four flights between Kuala Lumpur and Paris before it becomes a daily route from Saturday (29 March).
Paris becomes Malaysia Airlines’ second European route – it already runs twice-daily flights between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur.
Dersenish Aresandiran, chief commercial officer of airlines for Malaysia Airlines Group, said: “The launch of our direct service to Paris marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines as we expand our European footprint and reconnect Malaysia with one of the world’s most iconic destinations.
“This route not only strengthens our position as the gateway to Asia and beyond but also reflects the growing demand for seamless travel between Malaysia and France.”
