7,000 industry professionals expected to attend
Organisers of the 15th Business Travel Show (BTS) have announced their largest conference programme yet.
Around 7,000 industry professionals are expected to network with 200 business travel suppliers exhibiting in four distinct show areas - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Meetings, Technology and Online.
Exhibitors include major TMCs like Carlson Wagonlit Travel and the Hogg Robinson Group.
The programme of 47 sessions across all three days (10-12 February) includes five keynote speakers, six panel debates, six case studies, industry discussions, seminars, workshops and training streams.
David Chapple, BTS event director, said there was the potential for corporates to save 20% on travel budgets.
"This year's conference programme is our most comprehensive yet. Over 7,000 visitors attend the Business Travel Show," said Mr Chapple.
"Some are more experienced than others. As a result, they all have unique knowledge requirements and that's why our programme is designed to be diverse."
Free-to-attend "keynotes" on the centre stage include HRG's David Radcliffe, Chris Tarry of the Aviation Industry Research and Advisory and Airbus' Bob Lange, head of aircraft interiors marketing.
Speakers will address topics such as the future of aviation; business travel and aircraft design and the economy's impact on corporate travel.
"This year, the big issue facing us all in 2009 is survival," said Mr Chapple.
"We are all being asked to either reduce our travel budgets or certainly make them work a lot harder.
"There has never been a better time to visit the Business Travel Show."
