LOT Polish Airlines has resumed its Warsaw to Cairo route after a 12-year break, and announced a new boss.
The Polish airline has appointed Marcin Pirog as chairman of the managing board of LOT.
A board member for financial and economic matters was also appointed: Zbigniew Mazur.
LOT now flies to Cairo three times a week, using a B737-400 aircraft.
Flight LO115 leaves Warsaw on Monday, Wednesday and Fridau at 10.30pm, arriving at 3.20am the next day.
Flight LO116 leaves Cairo at 4.10am on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, arriving into Warsaw at 7.10am.
Scheduled flights between Warsaw and Cairo originally ran for 35 years, between 1963 and 1998.
LOT currently flies to more than 50 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and America.
The Star Alliance member is due to take delivery of its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner in 2012.
