Finnair will lease two of its unused aircraft to Kenya Airways from June.
Mauni Visuri confirmed: "Finnair is not using all of its Embraer planes in its scheduled traffic programme. It's very satisfactory that we are able to make use of our assets by leasing out the aircraft."
The deal is worth €20 million to Finnair, but the airline hopes it can sell the aircraft.
Finnair owns 10 Embraer 170 aircraft. Two are currently leased to Finncomm Airlines in Finland.
The 76-seater Embraer 170 jet is the same aircraft used by British Airways for its Cityflyer services from London City.
