Iranian president Hassan Rouhani has said Iran will “probably” purchase aircraft from Airbus.
Speaking in a French radio interview, Rouhani said it will be one of a number of business deals he expects to sign during a state visit to France later this week, reports AFP.
“We already use Airbus or Boeing planes today,” he said. "Usually when conditions are right our buyers will buy from one or the other and probably it will be Airbus.
"In the run-up to my visit there have been negotiations in the areas of transport, agriculture and also in the industrial field, especially in the auto sector, and I include air transport,” he added.
Last month, German airline Eurowings became the latest carrier to launch flights to Tehran following the lifting of EU sanctions.
