Gulf Air is dropping four more routes - Damascus, Athens, Milan and Kuala Lumpur - as it continues to wrestle with Bahrain's political situation, high fuel prices and low passenger numbers.
Services to Damascus will stop from March 2 while flights to Athens and Milan will cease March 12, and Kuala Lumpur from March 25.
The latest announcement follows the closure of Entebbe and Geneva routes earlier this month.
Samer Majali, Gulf Air's CEO, said the closures are pragmatic commercial decisions aimed at focusing services on routes with higher passenger traffic.
"We are now adapting our approach to address the challenges on an urgent basis," he said.
