Air traffic controllers in France have called off a strike for this weekend, ministers have confirmed.
French transport minister Alain Vidalies confirmed there would be no disruption from June 3 – 5 after four of five unions called off the action.
The strikes are over changes to labour laws which will see employers given greater freedom to reduce pay, increase the working week from 35 hours to 46 and easing conditions for firing workers in an economic downturn.
Vidalies also said that traffic was normal on the Paris metro, as well as on buses and trams in the capital.
Air transport is expected to be disrupted later this month after Air France pilots voted for industrial action in a separate dispute.
