Finland's national carrier has announced it will continue its expansion into Asia, with the start of flights from Helsinki to Singapore Changi airport next May.
Timings have not yet been released, but the airline said it would operate a "timetable that suits the needs of business passengers".
The route, due to start on May 30 2011, will be served using an Airbus A340.
The airline has increased its services to Asia in recent years, and now offers flights to nine destinations China, India, Thailand, South Korea and Japan.
Mika Vehviläinen, Finnair's CEO, said: "Finnair's Asian strategy has worked extremely well. Demand has continually strengthened and now is a good time to increase capacity and boost our market share in Asia's growing market. This new stage of our growth strategy will create many opportunities for us."
